
Salma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. Her professional career began in Mexico where she played in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), which was a huge success and earned her an Ariel Award nomination. In films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly established herself as a leading actress in Hollywood. Hayek's portrayal of Frida Kahlo who is a painter, in Frida (2002) which was a biographical feature she created which earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress nomination [66. She also received her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award, and British Academy Film Award nominations.
