While it wasn't popular with critics but the movie tripled its budget. Larter appeared as a caveman in Homo Erectus, a direct-to DVD release. The movie co-starred Hayes MacArthur, an actor who she planned to marry . Larter starred opposite Beyonce as well as Idris Elba in the thriller Obsessed . It made it to the top of the charts however, it received a mixed reception. A few critics even compared it with Fatal Attraction.
