In terms of the other members of her family, little is known. Her mother has Mexican roots, as does her father was Filipino. Erin Lim has also an older sister who goes by the name of Erica. In terms of her education she graduated from one of the state's private high schools. She enrolled at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts following her graduation from in high school. In May 2013 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, with a concentration in broadcast and television journalism. Rubi Rose Benton was born in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was also raised, to Nardos Ghebrelul, her mom, an Eritrean immigrant dentist, and John Benton, her father who is a lawyer and is of half African-American and half-Japanese descendant. Although Eritrean by birth Her mother is from Ethiopia. She has an adopted father which means that her biological paternal mother is Japanese. The older sister of Scarlette is called Coral as is Scarlette her younger sister. She spent one year in Geneva. After her senior year, she moved to Atlanta Georgia. She pursued a degree in the politics at Georgia State University. Her childhood was filled with Prince, Michael Jackson, Biggie, Marvin Gaye and Chaka Khan. Her music is heavily influenced by Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj, and Foxy Brown. Rose was originally recognized as the main character in Migos' Bad and Boujee music video. After a few years, she became a regular in the Twitch stream of East Coast Hip Hop Commentator and Jamaican-born DJ Akademiks. Rose released her first singles in the year 2019. Her single Rubi Rose : Big Mouth has made her a household name. Rose made a cameo appearance in American artist Cardi B's music video to her track Cardi B feat. Megan Thee Stallion
