Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actor working on television, film as well as theater. Gifted thespian, she is working in the world of professional acting for the past 27 years. In 1990, she made her debut on stage in a production of The Big Funk (John Patrick Shanley) off Broadway. She was then cast for her first TV role, The Perfect Tribute. She was announced as a character supporting in the movie Basic Instinct. This was the beginning of her successful career. The 90s saw her working alongside a number of top actors from Hollywood, such as Gwyneth Paltrow and Hugh Grant. She was Dr. Alex Blake on the popular international police procedural thriller Criminal Minds.

Her early golfing career was an enormous successful one. She became the youngest woman in 2007 to qualify for the US Women's Open. While she did not win however, in 2007, she took home the Aldila Junior Classic and became the second. The the youngest American Junior Golf Association member to ever win the title, she also won the Westfield Junior PGA Championship in the same year.
